Digital Equity and Inclusion

The AESD/OSPI EdTech team is collaborating to provide school districts with digital equity and inclusion resources and professional learning opportunities.

Our goal is to ensure that every learner in Washington has the opportunity to thrive in a safe, connected, and supportive digital learning environment.

Supporting Digital Equity

Digital equity means more than just having a device and internet access. It also includes providing tools and services that meet the diverse needs of our communities, such as assistive technology, multilingual platforms, and culturally relevant digital resources.

Through our regional ESDs, we work with local school districts to provide hands-on assistance and training that supports:

  • Accessing learning devices
  • Setting up internet for education
  • Building digital literacy skills
  • Finding inclusive educational tools

Grant Support for Districts

Your Regional ESD EdTech Contacts are here to help with your grant writing and implementation needs. You are invited to apply for the HB 1365 OSPI Digital Equity and Inclusion Grants. Funding allocations: $X.X million for fiscal year 2024–25.
