Our goal is to ensure that every learner in Washington has the opportunity to thrive in a safe, connected, and supportive digital learning environment.
Supporting Digital Equity
Digital equity means more than just having a device and internet access. It also includes providing tools and services that meet the diverse needs of our communities, such as assistive technology, multilingual platforms, and culturally relevant digital resources.
Through our regional ESDs, we work with local school districts to provide hands-on assistance and training that supports:
- Accessing learning devices
- Setting up internet for education
- Building digital literacy skills
- Finding inclusive educational tools
Services for Districts
Professional development
Our specialists train educators in blended learning for all students and adaptive technology for at-risk learners. We help districts select inclusive tools that work across multiple locations and provide online, in-person, and blended training options.
Custom Rural Support
Rural districts face unique technology challenges. We create tailored training and address specific access needs for rural schools while understanding that these communities require different solutions than urban districts.
Grant Assistance
Our EdTech specialists help districts write grants and identify state and federal funding opportunities. Our team guides districts through application processes to secure technology funding.
Technology Lending
ESDs offer lending libraries with specialty technology for unique needs and circumstances. Districts access equipment they cannot purchase or need temporarily.
Adaptive Technology Services
EdTech Leads help districts choose, use, and train staff on adaptive technology. These tools ensure all students can participate fully in digital learning environments.
