Join us for the first statewide conference exploring the transformative role of artificial intelligence in Washington State’s K-12 education system. This 2.5-day conference is designed to empower district and building teams with the knowledge, strategies, and collaborative spirit to lead in the age of Artificial Intelligence.

By offering this Summit in two locations, we hope to promote a broad and inclusive dialogue that reflects the diverse needs and perspectives of all Washington State school districts. Together, we can pave the way for a future where AI not only supports but enhances the educational experience for all students.

The AI Innovation Summit is ideal for district and building teams, including board members, administrators, educators, and IT professionals. The Summit will offer valuable insights and strategies for anyone involved in shaping the future of education in Washington State.

Participants will bring together learnings from Days 1 & 2 into a plan for moving forward as individuals and teams.

Abran Malonado

Abran Malonado, OpenAI Ambassador

Abran Maldonado is a true visionary in the world of artificial intelligence. As co-founder of Create Labs, a Black and Brown founded startup, Abran is leading the charge in the AI and metaverse design space, bringing his unique perspective to an industry that has historically been dominated by a narrow set of voices.

As one of the first AI prompt engineers of the GPT era, Abran’s impact has been at the forefront of the AI revolution, pushing the boundaries of what is possible with this groundbreaking technology. For Abran, the future of AI is “diversity. We need to make sure that the voices of all communities are represented in the development of these systems.”

Chris Reykdal

Chris Reykdal, State Superintendent of Public Instruction

Chris Reykdal was born and raised in Snohomish, Washington, as the youngest of eight children. He has served as a high school history teacher, local school board member, state legislator, and budget and policy executive for our state’s community and technical college system. Reykdal has dedicated his entire career to public education, and he is currently serving in his first term as the State Superintendent of Public Instruction. He and his wife, Kim, live in historic Tumwater with their two children, Carter and Kennedy.
