On March 12, 2025, Sunnyside School District’s Instructional Technology Coach Cassie Schilperoort led an engaging K–5 Computer Science (CS) professional development day for educators from all five of the district’s elementary schools with support from ESD 105’s Regional Educational Technology Coordinator Mike Batali. The day began with goal-setting, followed by hands-on rotations featuring CS hardware—including bots from ESD 105’s CS Lending Library. Teachers explored digital curriculum tools, reviewed CS frameworks and standards, and collaboratively planned next steps for integrating CS into core instruction.
