In early January, AESD Science Fellows dove into the “Disciplinary Core Idea of Energy” to understand how these ideas can enable students to learn in meaningful, relevant, and impactful ways. ⚡️
Throughout the day, Fellows engaged in activities and discussions to enhance their understanding of energy, collaboratively completing a model of a pine tree’s energy and growth from a cone to a full tree. They then applied these same activities to explore a specific disciplinary core idea of their choice.
