National Partnerships
Our state association and every ESD is a member of our national association that provides direct support to ESDs nationwide.
Our nine superintendents are actively engaged in the national school superintendents’ association as they support school district leaders in their regions
*OSPI and the AESD: A Unique Partnership
OSPI the nine ESDs are committed to maintaining a statewide system for coordination, communication, and alignment of initiatives and in recognition of the unique statutory relationship (RCW 28A.310.010) between OSPI, the ESDs, and with AESD serving a coordinating role.Examples of this unique relationship and mutual commitment are reflected in the annual process of establishing initiative agreements among multiple OSPI divisions and ESDs for statewide and regional work. The Network serves as the state’s primary system for regional delivery. This commitment represents a deep belief that investing in and maintaining a functioning partnership is critical to providing equitable and aligned opportunities statewide that ultimately result in positive impacts for students, educators, and education leaders.
